Prometheus – The Titan of Providence and Donor of Fire

- Prometheus is one of the most well known and beloved forms of Greek mythology, god of welfare, wisdom and intelligent counsel. Although considered Titan, he did not belong to the primary Titan generation· He was his son. Japan and Covered (or, in some traditions, Themides or Asia), and his brother Atlas, Menetium and Epithea. His name means "precautionary", as opposed to the Epimetheus, meaning "in retrospect thinking".

Family and Childbirth

Prometheus was his father Deucalion, the hero of the flood, either with the Welfare, either with Klymeni or Pandora, while with Pyrra or Klymeni acquired the Greek. Other traditions refer to Kelaineau as the mother of the sons of Wolf and Himarea, while his wife in some sources is Asia.


The Myths of Prometheus

Creating Humanity: Prometheus was made of clay, giving them animal characteristics and giving them the hope and knowledge. After the deluge of Deucalion, he contributed to the survival of humans by giving them advice and instructions on shipping and boat construction.

The Stealing of Fire: To improve people's lives, he stole the fire from the sky, hiding it in a fennel stem. This caused the wrath of Zeus, who wanted to punish the mortals and Prometheus himself.

The Tortures of Prometheus

Though tortured, there was friend of humanity and symbol of welfare, knowledge and resistance to tyranny.
