Calydon

- Calydon was an ancient city of Aetolia and became known by the myth of Calydonius Capros. King Oineas failed to honor Artemis, and the goddess sent a terrible carter to destroy the land. Many heroes gathered to hunt him down, among themselves the Atalanti And Melegros.

The hunting of Calydonius Capros is a symbol of heroism but also of tragic fate. Calydona is associated with the punishment of hubris and the power of divine intervention.
