Arcadia

The Arcadia is the name of an area in modern Greece, but it was also an important place for reference in ancient Greek mythology. It was located in the heart of the Peloponnese and was considered a wild and isolated land, full of forests and mountains. According to tradition, that's where the Pan along with oak trees, nymphs and spirits of nature. Arcadia was often presented as an idyllic, almost utopian place, symbol of natural harmony.

THE Hermes, god of the walkers and messenger of the gods, was also associated with the area, while the Atalanti, daughter of the King of Arcadia, distinguished himself in the hunt of the Calydonian Capro.
